Governor Hancock signs a pay order for “Jacob Kuhn, Messenger to the General Court, the sum of Twenty two pounds ten shillings in full for his services from 7th of September last to 7th Dec. following agreeable to establishment.” Nicely signed at the conclusion “John Hancock,” and countersigned by John Avery and Alex Hodgdon.
