In part: “Rec’d of John Whipple six hundred fifteen 88/100 dollars in full…attn Leonard New York [?].” Accompanied by a book engraving of Astor. In good condition, with paper loss near left margin obscuring some text, vertical folds (one through the signature, a one-inch separation to one fold, small tear to lower right, scattered light toning, sealing wax residue to reverse.
