Outstanding Wilde signature for display

Irish writer and leader of the Aesthetic Movement, author of The Picture of Dorian Gray, The Importance of Being Earnest, The Happy Prince, etc., whose career and health were shattered by his imprisonment on charges of sodomy. Fountain pen signature, 'Oscar Wilde,' on a light blue slip, dated January 4, 1882. Double matted and framed with a very nice portrait of Wilde and a small name plaque, to an overall size of 17.75 x 15.5. In fine condition. COA John Reznikoff/University Archives and RRAuction COA.
