President Wilson commutes the sentence of a prisoner who was convicted "of selling liquor to Indians"

World War I-dated partly-printed DS as president, one page both sides, 10.5 x 16, September 5, 1914. Clemency document from President Wilson, who commutes the 60-day sentence of Robert Otto, who was convicted “of selling liquor to Indians, wards of the Government,” to a fine of $100. Signed at the conclusion by Woodrow Wilson and countersigned by Attorney General Thomas W. Gregory. The orange Department of Justice seal remains affixed to the lower left. In very good to fine, folded condition, with toning and moderately heavy soiling to the edges.
