Strough, through the Secretary of Commerce, in full: "I hereby accept your resignation as Junior Hydrographic and Geodetic Engineer in the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, effective March 14, 1919, in accordance with the request contained in your letter of March 13th." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original transmittal envelope. In April 1919, President Woodrow Wilson was in Paris for the Paris Peace Conference, attempting to negotiate the peace terms for the defeated Central Powers in the aftermath of World War I.
