American journalist, author, and politician (1925–2004) who served as the ninth press secretary for United States Presidents John F. Kennedy and Lyndon B. Johnson. Salinger served as a United States Senator in 1964 and as campaign manager for the 1968 Robert F. Kennedy presidential campaign. Vintage fountain pen signature, "Pierre Salinger,” on an off-white 5 x 3 card, annotated in type: "Presidential Visit to Costa Rica - March 18–20, 1963, Central American Presidential Conference." In fine condition. Encapsulated and graded by PSA/DNA as “MINT 9.”
