ALS, one page, 4.5 x 8.5, no date. Handwritten note to the "Sec'y of War," presumably penned as president. In full: "Appointment of Chief of Infantry in place of Fongua—should not be Stone who was in Sec'y Hurley's office—Get in touch with Gen'l Haskell about this—He suggests Col. McNeele—now instructor of our guard." In fine condition.
