Description

Scarce official 5.5 x 3.5 pass to the "Roosevelt–Garner Inaugural Ceremonies - Washington, D.C.," held on March 4, 1933, issued to "Mrs. W. P. Dooley, Presidential Elector, State of Iowa," by the Electoral Colleges Committee. Instructions below read, "Present this Card at all Electoral Occasions," and the reverse lists the program for presidential electors, to take place from March 3rd–March 5th, including a dinner at Hotel Willard, a reception to the governors, inaugural ceremonies at the Capitol, the inaugural parade, a reception at the White House, a reception with the vice president, and religious exercises at the tomb of Woodrow Wilson. Handsomely matted and framed to an overall size of 8.5 x 6.5, with a window in the backing for viewing the reverse. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold.
