American magician (1861–1918), born William Ellsworth Robinson, who attained fame after adopting an 'exotic' Chinese persona under the name 'Chung Ling Soo.' Soo is best remembered for his final performance, during which a bullet-catching trick that went awry resulted in his death. Vintage 2.75 x 4 postcard portrait of Chung Ling Soo, signed in ink in English and Chinese script. In fine condition, with trimmed edges and rounded corners.
