Collection of nine original vintage portrait sketches of classic actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood, all of which are signed in ink by the pictured starlet, the majority of which are inscribed to the artist, J. Fred Johnson. The oversized sketches are accomplished in graphite and colored pencil on off-white sheets of drawing paper, approximately 13.5 x 16.5, and include the following actresses: Joan Fontaine, Shirley Booth, Jessica Tandy, Joan Crawford, Lee Grant, Patricia Neal, Myrna Loy, Lauren Bacall, and Deborah Kerr. Each is also signed in pencil by the artist, and several are matted to an overall size of 16 x 20. In overall very good to fine condition, with tears and paper loss to Crawford and Grant.
