Two early draft scripts for the Prince movies Purple Rain and Graffiti Bridge:
A brad-bound script for the Oscar-winning 1984 film Purple Rain, 138 pages, 8.5 x 11, which contains full credits, song titles, production information, and several screenshots from the film, indicating that this script was compiled post-production but prior to the film's release; interestingly, the script itself is an early draft from mid-1983, as evidenced by Vanity playing Prince's love interest, a role ultimately played by Apollonia. A caption on the second page indicates that the screenplay was originally entitled "Dreams" and was written by William Blinn, a screenwriter who died in 2020, best known as a writer and producer of the TV series Fame.
A second draft copy of the script for the 1990 film Graffiti Bridge, widely considered a sequel to Purple Rain, dated November 26, 1989, 47 pages (page 24 is either missing or that page may have been skipped in the pagination); the script includes only the spoken lines of the film, with no credits, list of song titles, or production information. The type is in all capital letters from start to finish. In overall fine condition, with a couple of creases or folds. From the collection of an early Prince insider.
