Marvelous collection of 43 original vintage photographs of President John F. Kennedy, glossy and matte-finish, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, the majority of which feature credits stamps to the reverse attributing the photos to White House photographers Cecil W. Stoughton (4), Robert L. Knudsen (10), and Abbie Rowe (17); although uncredited, five other photos bear negative numbers typically found on the reverse of a Stoughton photograph. The collection visually documents many public events and candid moments captured during the nearly three-year presidency of John F. Kennedy. The images include JFK delivering speeches, hosting guests at the White House, visiting Air Force Bases, meeting dignitaries during his trips to Italy and Ireland, and spending time with his family at Hyannis Port. While Kennedy is present in every offered photograph, other noteworthy figures include his wife Jacqueline Kennedy, his children, Caroline and John F. Kennedy, Jr., his Vice President, Lyndon B. Johnson, his brother, Robert F. Kennedy, former U.S. President Harry S. Truman, legendary entertainer Bob Hope, and heroic Mercury astronauts Gordon Cooper, Alan Shepard, and John Glenn. The vast majority of the photos bear editorial marks and/or annotations to the reverse. In overall fine condition, with most photos bearing a faint paperclip impression to one edge.
