Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 16 x 10, March 20, 1823. President Monroe grants Peter Miller of Delaware County, Indiana, a parcel of land in the District of Brookville containing 80 acres. Signed at the conclusion in ink by James Monroe, and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office John McLean. The lower left corner retains the original paper seal. In fine condition, with light soiling, and the handwritten portions of the body of the document (other than Monroe's signature) quite light but legible.
