TLS signed “Dick,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, January 6, 1976. Letter to financier Jack Dreyfus, in full: “This is just a note to tell you how deeply touched and appreciative Pat and I were by your thoughtfulness in remembering us at Christmastime. Late in the evening on Christmas Day, sitting around the fireplace in our living room which overlooks the Pacific, we remarked that of all the Christmas observances we have enjoyed—at the White House, in California, in Florida, and at Camp David—this was without question one of the best. We were fortunate that the whole family could be together. Tricia and Ed flew in from New York, Julie and David came from Washington. And, of course, King Timahoe, Vickie (now, except for deafness, a very healthy 15-year old poodle) and Pasha were on hand for the occasion. Adding to the festivities and completing the family circle were Manolo and Fina, whom we have always considered to be members of our family for fifteen years. But the fact that you remembered us so generously with the delectable fruit cake meant more than I can adequately put into words. Pat and all the family join me in extending our very best wishes for the New Year.” In addition to the salutation, Nixon adds a postscript in his own hand, "When you are down this way we would enjoy having you drop by for dinner—(Informal—just fun!)." In fine condition.
