Partly-printed vellum DS, signed "George R," one page, 13.25 x 9.25, February 22, 1800. King George III appoints Archibald Macneil as "Lieutenant in that Company…in Our Seventy fifth Highland Regiment of Foot Commanded by Our Trusty and Wellbeloved Lieutenant General Sir Robert Abercromby K.B." Signed in the upper left by King George III and countersigned at the conclusion by Lord Hobart. The white embossed seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with three vertical folds and some creasing along the top.
