German aircraft designer and manufacturer (1898-1978) whose planes were used extensively in combat. Vintage pearl-finish 4 x 5.75 postcard photo of Willy Messerschmitt in an up-close pose, signed in blue ballpoint. Reverse bears a "Foto-Studio Meinen" stamp. In very good to fine condition, with some creasing to the right side, touching Messerschmitt's hair. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder.
