Vintage matte-finish 9.5 x 7.25 photo of the original seven Mercury astronauts admiring a large rocket and capsule model, signed in the lower border in ink and fountain pen, "Alan B. Shepard, Jr.," "Walter M. Schirra, Jr.," "John H. Glenn, Jr.," "Virgil I. Grissom," "M. Scott Carpenter," "Donald K. Slayton," and "Leroy G. Cooper, Jr.," with an unknown hand adding an inscription above, "With best wishes and warm regards to Mary, from the Mercury Astronauts." In very good to fine condition, with silvering along the left edge, a small stain to the upper left corner, and some ink adhesion trouble to Shepard's and Carpenter's signatures. Encapsulated in a PSA/DNA authentication holder. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA.
