Rare original 5.5 x 9.25 handbill advertising the Jimi Hendrix Experience's show at the Marquee Club in London on October 24, 1967, the last of their four performances at the venue. Expecting a "massive crowd for this date," the handbill urges fans to purchase tickets in advance. This was a special appearance by the Experience, as they were already an international sensation, after having toured the United States and performed at the Monterey Pop Festival. In very good to fine condition, with a split to the left side of the central horizontal fold. This handbill has remained in very nice shape, especially when comparing it to the condition of others that have sold elsewhere in previous auctions.
This is the only Jimi Hendrix Experience Marquee Club monthly handbill that have the Experience listed for the artists appearing at the club. The Experience did play at the Marquee previously in 1967 on January 24th, but weren't listed on the handbill. The Spencer Davis Group was originally booked to play the date and were replaced by the Experience; no handbills exist for the Experience performing on the 24th.
