Heavy ash tray, measuring 5″ x 5″ x 1.25″, carved from buff-colored stone retrieved from the rubble after the destruction of the House of Commons by German incendiary bombs during the nighttime air raids of May 10-11, 1941. Lead from the roof was used for the 2.5″ disc in the center, depicting Big Ben, which has the raised inscription: "This Stone Came From the Houses of Parliament." The bottom is lined with green felt. In fine condition.
