Description

Russian pianist, composer, and conductor who became a pivotal figure in Russian culture when he founded the Saint Petersburg Conservatory (1829-1894). Untranslated ALS in German, signed “Ant. Rubinstein,” one page, 4.5 x 7, October 5, 1893. Addressed from Dresden, a handwritten letter to music publisher Hugo Bock (1848-1932). The letter is affixed to a slightly larger backing sheet. In very good to fine condition, with overall wrinkling from mounting.
