Vintage Peanuts poster featuring the six Apollo-inspired comic strips created by Charles Schulz and published by United Feature Syndicate during the week of March 10-15, 1969, signed and inscribed in the lower border in black felt tip, “For Kay Chapman with every best wish, Charles M. Schulz.” Professionally linen-backed to an overall size of 19 x 23.5, and expertly restored to near fine condition, with the handwriting several shades light.
The connection between the Apollo program and the Peanuts comic strip is well documented. The call signs for the Apollo 10 spacecraft were the names of characters Charlie Brown and Snoopy, the semi-official mascots of the famed 'dress rehearsal' Apollo mission, and Peanuts creator Charles Schulz also drew some mission-related artwork for NASA.
