Description

Important contributor to food and nutrition (1737-1813), who was a promoter of the potato as a food source and established the first mandatory smallpox vaccination. ALS in French, signed “Parmentier,” one page, 7 x 9.25, September 29, 1801. Untranslated handwritten letter to a pharmacist in Breda. In very good to fine condition, with moderately heavy overall foxing.
