Irish nationalist politician (1846-1891) who was a powerful advocate for Irish Home Rule. LS signed “Chas. S. Parnell,” one page, 4.5 x 7, black-bordered House of Commons letterhead, July 11, 1884. Letter to J. D. Petty, in part: "In answer to your letter, I beg to say that if you will come down to the House of Commons, and let me know before hand the day and time of your coming, I shall be on the look out for you, and most happy to make your acquaintance." In fine condition, with a short split to the end of the central horizontal fold.
