Handwritten bet made by J. Paul Getty for the hasty riveting of "a speed ring half"

Twice-signed ADS in pencil signed “J. P. Getty,” one page, 8.5 x 5.5, personal stationery, September 16, 1943. Handwritten wager made in the third-person by J. Paul Getty, which reads: "J. P. Getty bets Julian Martin 5.00 that some time in October next a speed ring half will be satisfactorily riveted in not over 2 hours 30 minutes jig time (not including rest time). Satisfactory means not more than 10 bad rivets marked by inspection." Signed at the conclusion by both Getty and Martin. In fine condition.
