Handwritten letter addressed from the Council Chamber, in part: "The success of medical prescriptions for Mrs. Gerry, exceeding my expectations, after I had addressed a line to you this morning. Truly on conferring with his honor the Lieutenant Governor, on the subject of dining with you, I find he either is not of the party of this day, or there is an error in regards to…on his part or my own; will you be so obliging as to inform me whether I am in error, as it respects the day?" Archivally mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 13.25 x 14.75. In fine condition, with scattered light staining.
