Description

Manuscript DS, signed “George R,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 12.5, November 20, 1821. A "Warrant for affixing the Great Seal to the Ratification of an Act of Acceptance of the Accession of the Grand Duke of Mecklenburgh-Strelitz, to the General Treaty signed in Congress at Vienna, June 9th, 1815, and to the Acts thereunto annexed." Boldly signed at the head by King George IV, and signed at the conclusion by Robert Stewart, Viscount Castlereagh as "Londonderry." The crisply embossed white paper seal affixed to the upper left is intact. Attached to the document with a blue ribbon is a four-page manuscript transcript of the act of acceptance. In fine condition.
