Group of seven Confederate items, including six pieces signed by officers: Francis Cockrell (ANS), Willam B. Bate (check), Hugh Mercer (currency), Humphrey Marshall (ALS), William R. Cox (DS), and Birkett D. Fry (DS). The last item is a contemporary war-dated manuscript battlefield dispatch concerning orders from General Lee, February 14, 1864, secretarially signed on behalf of Lunsford Lomax. In overall very good to fine condition, with staining and toning to the 1864 letter.
