Description

Not yet renowned as ‘Hammerin’ Hank,’ Aaron’s 1956 Topps issue—the 22-year-old’s third Topps card—shows him looking upward and to the left, as if anticipating his future stardom. In the background, the action shot shows the ballplayer preparing to slide into home plate, the umpire removing his mask to make the call. Aaron finished the 1956 season at the top of the National League’s ranks in hits (200), doubles (34), and batting average (.328), to finish third in the MVP voting; a year later, on the strength of 44 home runs, he would be crowned NL MVP. With brilliant colors, sharp corners, and crisp edges, this PSA MINT 9 blazer is a superb example. None have been graded higher by PSA.

Buyer's Premium is 20% on all 1956 Topps Cards.
