Description

TLS, one page, 7 x 9, personal letterhead, November 24, 1921. Letter to former Congressman South Trimble, in full: "You are singularly generous, and I shall I am sure find my share of the bird unusually delightful eating because of the evidence its very flavor will afford me of your thoughtful friendship and confidence. Mrs. Wilson joins me in heartfelt thanks." In fine condition. Trimble had provided the White House's Thanksgiving turkey throughout the Wilson presidency, and evidently continued the tradition for Wilson's first Thanksgiving dinner after leaving office.
