December 30, 1915, to Hon. Lewis M. Coleman: "Please accept my warmest thanks for your very generous message. It is such things that keep a man in heart."
October 3, 1916, to Hon. Lewis M. Coleman: "I had already read your answer to Burton before you were kind enough to send it to me. It is a cracker-jack and hits the bull's-eye in every part. I thank you most heartily."
December 1, 1916, to Francis H. Reed: "Many thanks for your kind letter of congratulation."
February 19, 1917, to Hon. Lewis M. Coleman: "You may be sure that I shall not forget your offer if any occasion should arise in which it seems possible that you could lend the hand we needed at the moment." In overall very good to fine condition. Accompanied by one original mailing envelope.
