Some day we need to have another conversation on the situation today. Please let me know when you may be in this town and free to do so and we will have some lunch." In fine condition. Accompanied by a carbon copy of the letter Groves sent to Hoover, dated August 7, 1959, in part: "I wish to congratulate you on your Eighty-Fifth Birthday and to express to you my feeling that the American people are very fortunate indeed that you have lived so many years. Your sage counsel, born of experience, wisdom and integrity, has been of untold value for many decades. Its beneficial effects will continue to be realized in the future, not only by those now living but by those unborn."
