Description

AQS on a vellum 7 x 9 sheet, signed at the conclusion, "Edwin Arlington Robinson, July 1, 1930." Robinson quotes from his Pulitzer Prize-winning epic poem Tristram, in full: "Alone, with her white face and her grey eyes, / She watched there till even her thoughts were white, / And there was nothing above but white birds flying, / Flying and always flying, and still flying, / And the white sunlight flashing on the sea." In very fine condition, with rippling and spotty staining to the vellum.
