American League uniform player's contract in which Whitey Ford agrees to render "skilled services as a baseball player during the year 1963" for the New York Yankees, for a salary of $50,000. Signed at the conclusion in blue ballpoint by Ford, and countersigned by American League President Joe Cronin, and Yankees general manager Roy Hamey. In fine condition, with some slight creasing to folds. Includes by a TLS from Hamey, signed "H. Roy Hamey," one page, 8.5 x 11, Yankees letterhead, March 11, 1963, addressed to Ford, in part: "Dear 'Whitey,' I am enclosing herewith for your files copy of your 1963 Yankee contract." Accompanied by the original mailing envelope for the Hamey letter. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
