Description

TLS, one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, November 30, 1961. Letter to K. H. Browne, in full: "I appreciated very much your letter of the 21st, and I am as sorry as I can be that I didn't have an opportunity to make a visit to Phoenix to the Carl Hayden Day celebration. I saw Carl Hayden at the funeral of Sam Ryburn and he and I sat together in the church and at the ceremony. I was glad to get the cartoon. It was thoughtful of you to send it." In fine condition, with staple holes to the upper left corner. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which bears a preprinted free frank.
