Unusual vintage circa 1935 glossy 8 x 10 portrait of Ruth in his Yankee pinstripes, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To Martha MacDonald, Sincerely, Babe Ruth.” Also signed by two noted actors, "Hello Martha, Al Jolson" and "To Martha—with grand admiration for Babe Ruth, John Barrymore," and one vaudeville comedienne, "Best, Polly Moran." In very good condition, with scattered overall creasing, and a short tear to the lower right border. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA. Babe Ruth, John Barrymore, and Polly Moran appeared as guests on Al Jolson's 'Shell Chateau' NBC radio show on April 27, 1935. A fantastic and interesting piece, especially given Barrymore's endorsement of 'The Babe.'
