Famed Irish poet and songwriter (1779-1852) best known for such verses as 'The Last Rose of Summer' and 'Believe Me, if All Those Endearing Young Charms.' ALS signed “Ths. Moore,” one page, 6.25 x 6, August 28, 1820. In part: "I sent you two Irish Melodies, and a National one, which, I think, you'll own, is very industrious. Pray forward the inclosed for me." Lower portion retains the original red wax seal. In very good to fine condition, with creasing, a block of light toning, and a clipped portion to the top edge. Accompanied by an unsigned engraving.
