Description

French writer (1866-1944) who won the 1915 Nobel Prize for Literature. ALS in French, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.5 x 8.25, June 23, 1925. Written from Villeneuve, an untranslated letter to Emile Fabre in which he relays that he has been removed from the theaters of Paris for so long that he was not able to attend to the 'fixing' of Danton. He suggests that if Capellani is willing and able to have him, he would undertake the task, due to his very cordial memories of him. In fine condition, with some light creasing to the bottom.
