American film director (1899–1983) best remembered for celebrated films like The Philadelphia Story, Gaslight, Adam's Rib, Born Yesterday, A Star Is Born, and My Fair Lady, the latter of which earned him his first and only Academy Award for Best Director. Amazing vintage matte-finish 10 x 13 portrait of Cukor, signed and inscribed in white ink, “For Dorothy, with thanks and affection, George Cukor.” In fine condition, with light silvering to dark background. A wonderful oversized portrait of the Oscar-winning filmmaker early into his career. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
