French writer and dramatist (1824–1895) best known for Camille and for being the illegitimate son of famed novelist Alexandre Dumas. Two items: an ALS in French on both sides of a 4.25 x 3.5 card, in full (translated): "Our friend told me that you liked the preface of ‘La Femme de Claude.’ Allow me to offer you this example which is not commercially available”; and a limited edition of La Femme de Claude, signed and inscribed on the title page in ink and dated 1890. In overall very good to fine condition, with the book’s cover detached but present. Accompanied by two additional pieces of correspondence related to Dumas. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
