Collection of four original color World War II posters from 1943–1944 (one undated), ranging in size from 14.25 x 20 to 24 x 37.75. The first lists helpful ways in which citizens can conserve fuel during the cold months, with “Prepare for winter now!,” at the top; the second bears a message from the Treasury Department reminding citizens to get a head start on filing their income tax returns; the third features a lengthy quote from President Franklin D. Roosevelt on February 3, 1943, with a central portion bolded in red, “Americanism is not, and never was, a matter of race or ancestry,” and a bald eagle at the top; and the fourth is a Canadian poster, issued by the Wartime Information Board, which emphasizes workplace precision, with “Make it fit to fight” in large bold text. In overall fine condition, with expected storage folds (partial separations) and small edge tears.
