Collection of four original color World War II posters from 1943-1945, ranging in size from 20 x 28 to 24 x 36. The first shows a sailor carrying a large pack over his shoulder and reads, “If you tell where he’s going...He may never get there!”; the second shows a farmer holding bonds, his farm, and his children in his hands, and reads, “For a Secure Future, Buy War Bonds”; the third urges citizens to “Dress warmly indoors, avoid colds,” and shows red long johns holding a yellow sign that reads, “War Shipments Mean Less Fuel For All”; and the fourth shows a brave soldier wielding a veritable arsenal as he sprints through the battlefield, with text praising the valor of US soldiers. In overall fine condition, with expected storage folds (with a couple partial separations) and some toned strips of tape to edges of the long johns poster.
