Collection of four original glass negatives, 8.5 x 6.5 and 6.5 x 8.5, all featuring Chaplin posing with other people, including fellow actors. Three of the slides have images from the 1914 film Getting Acquainted, with one image of Chaplin on a bench with Phyllis Allen, Mabel Normand, and Mack Swain; another image of Chaplin and Allen; and one of Chaplin and Swain in the clutches of policeman Edgar Kennedy. Last negative is one of Minta Durfee straightening Chaplin’s tie for the 1914 film The Star Boarder. In very good to fine condition, with scattered surface wear and a chip to bottom edge of one negative, not affecting the overall image. Very few of these types of images survived due to their extremely fragile nature. RR Auction COA.
