Confederate general and politician (1806–1863) who served as the 31st governor of Virginia and lost the crucial Battle of Fort Donelson. Ink signature, “John B. Floyd,” on an off-white 4 x 2 slip, beneath a brief sentiment in another hand. Slip is affixed to an identical size card.
