Original oval albumen 2 x 2.5 photo of Confederate surgeon Simon Baruch affixed to a color 5.5 x 3.5 postcard honoring the Civil War. Postcard is presented on an off-white 8 x 6 mount which bears contemporary ink notations describing his participation in the Civil War, including, “Chancellorsville—Gettysburg—(Captured in Field Hospital), 1863.” The display was evidently created for a Gettysburg Reunion held in 1913, per a small slip affixed to the postcard.
