President Monroe grants 160 acres of land to “John Scriver late a private in Woods Company of the Twenty-seventh regiment of Infantry.” Signed at the conclusion by Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office Josiah Meigs. Intersecting folds, one through a single letter of signature, scattered toning and wrinkling, pencil notation to lower right, and a small clipped image of Monroe affixed to top right, otherwise very good condition.
