American composer (1854–1932) known for his military and patriotic marches. Choice original 4.25 x 6.5 cabinet photo of Sousa displaying medals on an elaborately embroidered uniform, by C. Vandyk of London, signed and inscribed vertically in the upper right, “To a veteran Col. D. C.
