Child actor (1924–1999) best remembered for her role as 'Little Maria' in Frankenstein (1931). In arguably the film's most memorable scene, originally cut from the film’s release, she meets the fugitive monster beside a riverbank and charms the monster with her innocence, only to be accidentally and tragically drowned by the monster.
