She remains the oldest person ever to have been nominated for an Oscar. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 20th Century Fox promotional photo of Stuart as she appeared in Island in the Sky, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, With charmed memories of Paper Hill – Gloria Stuart.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of August 22, 1941, the date the signature was acquired.
