Described as a petite, husky-voiced charmer, Sullavan (1909–1960) enjoyed a great deal of popularity in the 1930s and early 40s. She gradually went deaf during the last years of her life and committed suicide at age 49. Vintage glossy 8 x 10 photo, signed and inscribed in-person in fountain pen “To Saul, Margaret Sullavan.” Reverse of photo bears collector’s stamp date of September 17, 1936, the date the signature was acquired. In fine condition, with a few scattered light surface marks. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
