Declaration of Independence: Thomas McKean

Signer of the Declaration of Independence from Delaware (1734–1817) who later served as a Revolutionary War officer, delegate to the Continental Congress, and Governor of Pennsylvania. Partly-printed DS, signed “Tho M:Kean,” one page, 21 x 12, October 10, 1806. Land grant issued to Robert Blackwell for 1090 acres of land in Potter County called “Darking.” Signed in the upper left corner by McKean, as governor of Pennsylvania, above the crisp and intact paper and wax seal. Trimmed edges, some light wrinkles, and moderate storage folds, otherwise fine, bright condition. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RRAuction COA.
